What Is The Upper Arkansas Area Development Corporation?
The Upper Arkansas Development Corporation is a small business loan program created by the Upper Arkansas Area Council of Governments to provide financing assistance to new and expanding businesses in the Upper Arkansas Region that includes Chaffee County. The UAADC provides two small scale programs: The Gap program assists a borrower who is obtaining a primary business loan but needs to fill a gap to complete the overall financing of the borrower’s project. Upper Arkansas Enterprise Zone (UAEZ) provides state tax credits for eligible expenses to existing and new businesses in the Upper Arkansas Region that includes Chaffee County. With the exception of the residentially zoned areas of the incorporated municipalities, the remainder of the municipalities and county are in the zone.
